Apply for early decision

The Duke DPT program participates in the PTCAS early decision option. If an applicant is 100% confident that Duke DPT is where they would like to obtain their DPT education, then early decision is a great option. Early decision applicants are informed of an admission decision by mid to late September. If they are not offered admissions during the Early decision process, their application is automatically placed back into the general applicant pool to still be considered for admission.

What to expect

  • After an application has been submitted to PTCAS, it can take four to five weeks for PTCAS to verify the application.
  • It is the applicant's responsibility to ensure that their application gets verified by PTCAS. The application will not be considered "received" by the Duke DPT Admissions Committee until it has been verified by PTCAS.
  • Duke DPT operates under a rolling admissions process, meaning we begin reviewing applications when the cycle opens and our admissions cycle is not closed until the class is full.
