Duke DPT is proud to announce that Katie Lyn Beasley and Rachel Groff (Class of 2011) have been slated to the APTA’s National Student Assembly Board of Directors and Nominating Committee.  Katie Lyn and Rachel are candidates for the positions of Secretary and Nominating Committee respectively.  Within the APTA, the National Student Assembly serves as the governing body for all PT and PTA students. Numerous Duke students have served on the Assembly in the past, and we hope that Katie Lyn and Rachel will have the opportunity to continue the legacy. Duke DPT wishes both of them the best of luck on this exciting professional endeavor.
 

Congratulations Dr. COOK! - The AAOS Public Relations Oversight Group (PROG) has chosen Dr Cook's review study, The Impact of Glycemic Control and Diabetes Mellitus on Perioperative Outcomes after Total Joint Arthroplastyfor a consumer press release from the July 2009 edition of JBJS. DRIVING DIRECTIONS                                       

 
The Duke Doctor of Physical Therapy Division
main office is located in Wing A of the Erwin Square Building .
 
 
 
From Greensboro and Points West
 
  • Via 1-85 North: Exit onto N.C. Rt 147 ( Durham Freeway).
  • Take Swift Avenue exit (#14) off Durham Freeway.
  • Turn Left onto Swift Avenue toward Main Street .
  • Turn Left onto Main Street at traffic light.
  • Straight on Main Street through traffic light at 9th Street .
  • Erwin Square is the tall tower on your right.
  • Turn Right into the first driveway at Erwin Square and go past the fountain toward the back of the building.
  • Make a left behind the building and another left into the parking garage. Go through the far right gate for free access.
  • Go to Level 4. Wing A is on the right as you face the tower from the parking deck. 
 
 
From Richmond and Points North
 
  • Via I-85 South: In Durham , take the " Hillandale Rd. " exit (#174A)
  • Turn Left onto Hillandale Rd.
  • At the 4th Light " Hillandale Rd. " becomes " Fulton St ".
  • Turn Left onto ramp for N.C. Rt 147 South (Durham Freeway).
  • Take Swift Avenue exit (#14) off Durham Freeway.
  • Turn Left onto Swift Avenue toward Main Street .
  • Turn Left onto Main Street at traffic light.
  • Straight on Main Street through traffic light at 9th Street .

  • Via U.S. 15-501: North. Take 15-501 N. marked Duke Univ./Med Ctr. Do not take 15-501 Business.

  • Take Swift Avenue exit (#14) off Durham Freeway.
  • Turn Left onto Swift Avenue toward Main Street .
  • Turn Left onto Main Street at traffic light.
  • Straight on Main Street through traffic light at 9th Street .
